The Taylor - Wilson  Camp is currently conducting a capital funding campaign to raise money for the construction of a Union Prisoner of War Memorial on the grounds of E.C. Glass High School.

This site was chosen because the actual POW camp was located on the ground the school occupies.

The Noted Sculptor, Gary Casteel of Lexington, VA has developed a concept for the monument which shows a group of prisoners within a stockade. Two free standing statues represent a young Union soldier and a prone older man looking northward toward home.

The cost of the monument is approximate $220,000 and we appreciate all gifts.

To get a flyer on the monument or to make a donation contact The commander of the Taylor-Wilson:  Mark_day@comcast.net.
